About the Monster Hunter Wilds Prologue Demo

This demo version allows you to play the beginning of Monster Hunter Wilds with the exact same content as the full version.
Your save data can be carried over to the full game, allowing you to pick up right where you left off.

Experience evolved hunting action, seamless immersion, and a glimpse of the story set in the uncharted territory of the Forbidden Lands.

  • - You can play the prologue—which includes character creation—through Chapter 1-3: To the Forest for free.
  • - This demo is offline only.

After a quest begins, you can send an SOS Flare to call up to three other hunters from all over the world to assist you in your hunt.
In the Prologue Demo, firing an SOS Flare will call in NPC Support Hunters to assist you. *Online Multiplayer is not available in the Prologue Demo

  • - In the full version of the game, you'll be able to play online multiplayer with hunters from around the globe.

  • - For more details on the Prologue Demo, please check the relevant store pages.
  • - The Prologue Demo may differ from the full version.
  • - Online features and Photo Mode are not available in the Prologue Demo.
  • - While you can earn in-game awards in the Prologue Demo, trophies associated with those awards cannot be unlocked. However, by transferring your save data to the full version, any awards earned in the Prologue Demo will carry over. Many trophies tied to these awards can be unlocked simply by completing a quest once in the full version, but some trophies will require their conditions to be fulfilled again.

Transferring Save Data to the Full Game

  1. Make sure the full version of the game is updated to the latest version.

  2. Start the full version of the game with save data from the Prologue Demo on your system.

    - Make sure to select the same user account that was used for the Prologue Demo before launching the full game.

  3. When prompted with "Save data has been found for the Monster Hunter Wilds Prologue Demo. Carry over your save data?", select "Yes" to proceed.

    When prompted with "Save data has been found for the Monster Hunter Wilds Prologue Demo. Carry over your save data?", select "Yes" to proceed.

  4. From the title menu, select Start Game > Select Saved Data, then choose the save data created in the Prologue Demo to resume from where you left off.

    - Any options or settings configured in the Prologue Demo will also be carried over.

  • - You can still transfer your save data to the full version of the game even if you have not completed the Prologue Demo.
    However, if you already have save data in the full version of the game, transferring save data from the demo will not be possible.
  • - Even if you select "No" on the save data transfer prompt, you can delete the full version save data and relaunch the game to display the transfer prompt again.
