At the end of MPW Spring Break Out, "The All-American" Steve Rivers was fired by promoter Gavin Fitzpatrick as per the match stipulations, after losing the main event. "The All American" will never work for Monster Pro Wrestling again. Due to his dastardly ways in the ring, Rivers will not be missed by most MPW stars.

MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT!

 

In an unprecedented move, Monster Pro Wrestling (MPW) and High Impact Wrestling (HIW) have just inked a deal that will make them a major force in Canadian Independent Wrestling.  The two companies have joined forces to expand each other's territories and deepen each other's talent pools. MPW and HIW will present Classic Pro Wrestling in Alberta and Saskatchewan.  Fans in both territories can look forward to wrestling like they haven't seen since the '80s.

 

Steps have already been taken to unify the championships from both territories as, at MPW RIP-Tribution, HIW Provincial Champion Headmaster Joe defeated MPW Provincial Champion Eclipse to become the Unified Provincial Champion.

 

At the present time, the HIW Tag Team Championship is vacant and a tournament is in the works to crown new champions. MPW Tag Team Champions, Nite and Tyler James, are watching the HIW tag scene very closely.

 

MPW Heavyweight Champion, Massive Damage and HIW Heavyweight Champion, Wavell Starr are definitely heading for a clash sometime down the road.
